Short intro to the blog

This year (2013) I really want my vegetable plot to work for me and I’d like some company in making this happen, so if you have just started out growing veg in your garden or fancy a new year challenge then stick with me and we can work things out together.  I’m by no means an expert but I’m going to study hard (and dig even harder) to share all the knowledge I pick up. If all else fails, I have appointed my Dad as ‘gardening consultant’ so we can call on him to dip in now and then with some fatherly veg growing wisdom.

Just so you know – this blog isn’t going to be about how the garden makes me feel or how the frost looks on a cold February morning, personally I can’t be doing with wading through all that poetry just to find out how to chit a potato. Lets just stick to the good old fashioned practical advice and sharing ideas.
